India's opening batsman Rohit Sharma smashed another fifty against Australia during the third ODI in Indore yesterday but also set a record while doing it. The Mumbai batsman, who was involved in a 139-run opening stand wqith Ajinkya Rahane scored 71 runs off the 62 balls he faced with a strike rate of 114.52. Rohit Sharma hit 6 boundaries and 4 sixes during his innings against the Aussies.

But, Rohit Sharma set another ODI record for himself. Rohit Sharma now has 65 international sixes against Australia, which is the highest for any batsman.

Rohit Sharma eclipsed former New Zealand hard-hitting batsman Brendon McCullum recordof 61 sixes. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar comes in third with the 60 sixes he slammed agains Oz. West Indies trailblazer Chris Gayle bagged the fourth spot with 53 sixes while England's Eoin Morgan rounds up the top 5 list with 52 sixes against Australia.
Against Australia, Rohit Sharma now has a total of 48 sixes in ODIs, 12 in T20Is and 5 in Test cricket.
