Rohit Sharma took to Instagram to share a series of photos along with his wife Ritika Sajdeh, their daughter Samaira and few friends. He wrote, “Happy happy birthday to my little Cookie Monster. Your arrival has brought nothing but excitement, laughter and bliss to our lives. Here's to more midnight dancing, rapping and showing you the world.” Samaira turned one year on December 30, 2019.
On the professional front, Rohit Sharma set a record in 2019 as he posted a total of 2,442 runs across all formats. The Mumbai batsman, in the process, went on to surpassed Sri Lankan great Sanath Jayasuriya's 22-year-old record for most runs scored by an opener in a single calendar year across all formats of the game.
Rohit Sharma also scored most runs in ODIs in a calendar year (1490).
