"It appears to be a gearbox problem," said Barrichello, after abandoning Sunday's race following a dreadful start.
"The one that I had on the start - it was the same as Australia, when I dumped the clutch and the anti-stall came in - but it was the wrong calculation for the clutch once again on my side.
"With the anti-stall, I couldn't get going and then, to complicate things, I was on the rev limiter halfway through the straight, which didn't make my life easier because I had to compete against cars with KERS and I had to force my way around."
Frustrating
"That's a race like this and it is very frustrating because it has been happening too much on my side..."
Barrichello started third on the grid, but his hopes of a win were wrecked when he was left beached at the start. He clearly blamed his problems on a mistake with the clutch calculations.
When he did get going, he ended up colliding with Finn Heikki Kovalainen's McLaren Mercedes and German Adrian Sutil's Force India before retiring.
It was made all the more disappointing for Barrichello because in-form team-mate Button was gifted the lead on the opening lap and then cruised to his sixth win in seven races this year.
