In a landmark judgement, the Supreme Court on Monday removed BCCI President Anurag Thakur and Secretary Ajay Shirke from their Indian cricket board posts.

A bench comprising Chief Justice T.S. Thakur, Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and Justice D.Y. Chandrachud said that as an interim arrangement, the senior-most Vice President of the BCCI will act as the President and the Joint Secretary will act as the Secretary.

The judgement was passed in the day and flashed across media channels and social media platforms before 12 noon.

Half the day has passed, but the BCCI website still hasn't taken off the names of Thakur and Shirke as office bearers.

The court may have said that it would appoint observers to run cricket administration in India until a new president and secretary were appointed, but BCCI may be waiting for order from it's higher ups before deleting the two names from the site.

Whatever the case may be, it surely seems as if BCCI is a bit behind the clock on this matter. And it would have been better for the organisation if it had deleted the names immediately for the sake of, at least, appearing to be 'proper'.

Of course, it could all be an error and the BCCI may have forgotten to remove the names in all the confusion. At least we hope that's the case.
