Both double tons have come in the state of Madhya Pradesh. While Tendulkar got his in Gwalior, Sehwag has got his in Indore where Tendulkar completed 10,000 ODI runs in the game against Australia in 2001.
Tendulkar scored 90 runs on the off side; 110 through the on side.u00a0 Meanwhile, Sehwag scored 99 runs on the off side, 120 through on the on side. In other words, both scored 60 per cent through the off side and the remaining 40 through leg.
Both struck all their sixes straight down the ground. There was nothing square of the wicket. Sachin three sixes came through long-off, long-on and deep mid-wicket. Sehwag's seven sixes came through mid-off, long-on and mid-wicket.
Though both scored 25 boundaries each, Sehwag's fours came behind square, through the covers, besides the four boundaries straight down the ground. Tendulkar, on the other hand, struck fours all over the ground.
Tendulkar's knock began like a whirlwind. At the end of 10 overs, he was batting 46 off just 18 balls. But Sehwag went easy on 29 off 14 balls. Thereafter, the numbers became identical. At the end of 20 overs, Tendulkar was 79 unbeaten off 36.
Sehwag was batting 78 off 35. At the end of 30 overs, Tendulkar was on 110 off 57. Sehwag was on 128 off 61 balls.
Both double hundreds helped India win the series. Tendulkar's knock at Gwalior helped India take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Similarly, Sehwag's knock at Indore has helped India win the five-match series with a 3-1 margin. Also, on both occasions, India batted first, and posted in excess of 400.
