The family of Bangladesh skipper Shaqib Al Hasan has "pardoned" the angry fans, who threw stones at his residence in Dhaka following the Tigers' humiliating nine-wicket defeat against the West Indies in the World Cup last Friday.
"Their temper was understandable and we have no grudge against them. They sent a few flowers to our home and apologised for the incident. We have pardoned them," Hasan's father Mushur Reza said over phone. The family, however, will not be going to Chittagong to witness team's next encounter against England on Friday.
"It is not a boycott. We don't go the grounds to watch the matches when Shakib is playing. We were not present in Dhaka when this incident took place," Reza said.
