England great Geoffrey Boycott believes the second edition of the IPL in South Africa will be an astounding success.
Speaking to cricinfo.com, Boycott was enthusiastic about the prospects of the Twenty20 league especially since the South Africans have embraced the shortest version of the game with such warmth.
Why England?
"I think it is perfect to go to South Africa. I couldn't understand anybody who said they would go to England, because it would be too wet and too cold in early April, and it would also be very difficult to find room in the England fixtures to put the IPL in for five or six weeks," Boycott said.
"It will be a great adventure in South Africa; it's a wonderful country, and it's perfect for South Africa and the IPL because their domestic season is finishing shortly, so the IPL has got a free run for five weeks and you can have lots of publicity on TV," he added.
