A 61-year-old woman watching the 14th stage of the Tour de France was killed on Saturday when she was struck by a police motorcycle, it was reported. According to witnesses, the victim was struck as she was trying to cross the road near the town of Wittelsheim, 40kms from the start of the stage. Frech radio reported that the bike then slid across the rain-slick roadway and struck an elderly man and a 37-year-old woman injuring them.
