Sunny Thakur scored the opener before St Stanislaus' Daniel D'Souza equalised in the second half. St Francis won the match 3-2 in penalties.
Both teams substituted their regular goalkeepers with midfielders. Siddharth took the responsibility of D'Assisi whereas Daniel replaced regular St Stanislaus 'keeper Agnel Pereira.
The 15-year-old Siddharth effected a couple of saves, which included Alroy Raphael's spot kick. He stood his ground to block a powerful kick in the tie-breaker. He was seen nursing his hand after the match.
Former skipper Siddharth was happy with his new role. "I have become a penalty specialist by default," he quipped.
St Francis' Sunny asserted that it is important to win this tournament and reap the rewards of having good players.

"We have a very good squad and that is precisely why we have done well.
We have to capitalise on the talent available with us," said Sunny, who scored 12 goals in four games.
In the second semi-final, underdogs St Mary's SSC, Mazgaon eliminated Bombay Scottish, Mahim 2-1.
Anish Dhatavkar scored a brace. St Francis D'Assisi will lock horns with St Mary's in the final today.
