ST Mary's SSC (Mazagaon) players overcame exam stress to register a 1-0 win over St Francis D'Assisi (Borivli) in a Mumbai Schools Sports Association's (MSSA) U-16 Div I match at Azad Maidan yesterday
Hours before their 4 pm kick off, most of the Mazagaon outfit’s players were busy appearing for the final paper of their first term examinations. However, despite the mental stress of the examination, it was the Div I clash that occupied most of their minds.

“Our concentration was more on this match than the exam. We had a paper in the morning (between 9am and 12pm) and then rushed out to be on the ground by 3pm for the 4pm match.
I am glad that I could help my team win this match against D’Assisi,” said St Mary’s goalkeeper Arham Khan, who effected a couple of good saves to keep the D’Assisi lads at bay. An own-goal in the second half from D’Assisi’s Subodh Nikumbh helped St Mary’s clinch full points.u00a0
