The 24-year-old all-rounder top scored for the Proteas, making a brisk 48 off 30 balls, then swiftly ran out Callum Ferguson and then claimed the key wicket of David Hussey in a superb display which helped the hosts clinch the Twenty20 series 2-0.
"Roelof, as an all-rounder provides us with cover for Jacques Kallis who is recovering from a groin injury. Jacques' fitness will be assessed by our medical team when the squad assembles in Durban today," Cricket South Africa's chief selector Mike Procter said.
The first match of the five-ODI series will be played at Sahara Stadium in Kingsmead on Friday while the second will be hosted by Super Sport Park on Sunday, a CSA release said.
