Wicketkeeper-batsman Aditya Tare and batting mainstay Rohit Sharma continued their good work, adding 278 runs for the third wicket. Tare scored 222 from 417 balls which included 31 fours and a six, while Sharma’s well-made 166 came off 254 deliveries, laced with 16 fours and five sixes.u00a0

Sharma was the first to depart yesterday off Nayan Doshi, while off-spinner Kamlesh Makwana ended Tare’s marathon innings. Abhishek Nayar (69 off 84 balls) and Ankeet Chavan (21) were at the crease when skipper Ajit Agarkar declared the innings.
Makwana bagged two wickets conceding 129 runs while Saurya Sanandiya, Doshi and Jaydev Shah claimed one apiece.u00a0
