Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar will not tour the West Indies for India's four-match one-day international series later this month. It is learnt that the senior batsman is reluctant to tour since he has not trained with the team for quite a while.
Some of Tendulkar's teammates and BCCI officials are aware of his decision but the selectors have yet to hear about it. India are already hampered by the absence of Virender Sehwag who went under the surgeon's knife recently for his right shoulder injury which he suffered during the Indian Premier League in South Africa.
Tendulkar's last ODI was in Christchurch, New Zealand where he scored a match-winning 163 before retiring hurt.
The first match of the India vs West Indies series will be held on June 26 at Jamaica which hosts the second game too. Game Three and Four will be held at St Lucia.
