United's 2-1 victory on Sunday left Sir Alex Ferguson's side six points clear of second-placed title-holders Chelsea, with two games of the season left.
Chelsea captain Terry was unable to explain why his team were overwhelmed early on in such a crunch match. "I'm not sure," the defender told Chelsea TV. "We were fully prepared and it's one of those things. We felt it was in our hands and we could come here and we could win the game.
"Sometimes, you have to hold your hands up," he added.
