An impressive 176-run, sixth-wicket partnership between New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori (100 not out) and Brendon McCullum (89) propelled the Kiwis to 346 on Day Two of the third Test against Pakistan here on Saturday.

At one stage, the hosts were 145 for five. Pakistan were restricted to 223 in their first innings in which Imran Farhat scored an unbeaten 117.
