Aston Villa's fading challenge for a Champions League place suffered another blow as Diego Tristan gave West Ham a 1-1 draw at Villa Park on Saturday. Martin O'Neill's side are now seven points behind fourth-placed Arsenal with only five games to play.
After holding a strong position in the top four in February, Villa have gone nine games without a win to slump down to fifth place.
Despite creating plenty of chances, and despite riding on Emile Heskey's first-half strike, they simply couldn't kill West Ham off and Tristan levelled with six minutes remaining.
