We lost everything on the tour of Australia in 1999-2000 (besides a solitary ODI against Pakistan at Adelaide). The only difference between that tour and the ongoing England series is that Australia were already the No 1 team and England has recently elevated to the top.

Not many teams have beaten Australia in their own backyard. At least, India have beaten England in their den earlier. Players have to put these bad memories behind and start thinking about the next series. The worst thing one can do is not to learn from their mistakes. One cannot hang on to losses. We have to move on and take as many positives from the defeats.

Obviously, we made some mistakes, apart from the opposition playing good cricket. So, as long as we can move on from a bad series, it is a good sign. For a player, it is always disappointing, and you don't want to remember bad tours and matches. You want to put them behind as quickly as you can and try not to repeat those mistakes again. If you can do that as a player, you should be fine going into the next series.
