Yuzvendra Chahal was playing for Reliance 1 in the Dr DY Patil T20 Tournament in Nerul yesterday when he was picked for the T20Is against England. At the end of the game against Tata Sports Club, Chahal spoke to the media. "It feels very good as this is a comeback after the Zimbabwe tour. I'm very excited for the T20s as this is the first time I will play with the full team," he said.
Chahal made his debut for India in Zimbabwe last year in an MS Dhoni-led side sans some of the frontline names. It was an experience to cherish for the leg-spinner. "My favourite moment with him (Dhoni) was when he gave me my first cap," Chahal said.
Now, he gets ready to play for India under his Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli. "When we see him, we get positive vibes. He is aggressive and positive. You never get negative feelings from him if you are being hit for sixes or fours. He keeps his faith in the bowler, which is very important as a captain," he said.
Reflecting on his first tour, he said, "It was a great experience and I played with Mahi bhai for the first time. When you play for India, you get a different (level of) confidence and you play for that."
