AFTER an overwhelming response last year, Budweiser is back with its six-a-side cup for amateur footballers.
Regional matches will be held in Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
At the end of the regional rounds, the two top teams from Goa, Bangalore and Hyderabad, as well as the top teams from Mumbai and Pune will compete against each other in national finals to represent India at the Budweiser Cup at Old Trafford in Manchester. Details of the matches will be put up on the official website.
Amateur teams from 14 nations will experience coaching sessions at Carrington and watch a Manchester United game. "The chance to play on the same ground as superstars like Ronaldo and Rooney is a fantastic
opportunity for football fans," said Rob Newman, sales and marketing director, Crown Beers India at a media briefing at CCI yesterday.
