The International Cricket Council (ICC) is wary of dragging India "kicking and screaming" into the DRS era, new chief executive Dave Richardson explained yesterday
Richardson, confirmed in his position along with incoming ICC president Alan Isaac this morning following the world governing body’s annual conference in Kuala Lumpur, addressed the vexed topic of DRS and India’s evident reluctance to embrace the technology.

Richardson said: “The point is that the BCCI need to make that decision for themselves.
“It’s never good to take anyone kicking and screaming to do anything. The introduction of technology has always been controversial... but slowly but surely that’s changed.
“I don’t think (the decision is) negative at all,” he said.
“We’ll be seeing DRS used in the majority of series going forward, and there would be no sense in forcing anything upon anybody,” he said. —u00a0
