Australia tours have been a jinx for you (injuries on both tours). Considering what happened in England, this tour becomes even more important ufffd
Whatever has happened is in the past. I want to change that. I see the Australia tour as an opportunity for me to play the whole tour.
Your success has shown that speed alone is not everything. In that context, what is your take on newcomers like Varun Aaron and Umesh Yadav?
The youngsters have performed well. It's been a promising start. It is very important for a fast bowler to bowl quick especially the age they are in. I think they should strive for pace. There are things that you add on with the experience, but the basic thing for a fast bowler is to bowl quick. We have to invest time in them .
Is your rehabilitation complete?
The rehabilitation is not over. However, I have started bowling which is part of my rehab. To attain 100 per cent fitness, I need a bit more time. I will be consulting physios at the NCA and only then will I know when I can start playing.
Can we expect you to play Ranji Trophy games during the India vs WI series?
I haven't decided on a particular date. But I will be going to the NCA and it will be decided there.
