Amid the ongoing tension between the two neighbours, the Bangladesh Government has ordered an indefinite ban on the telecast of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The development comes after Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) released Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman from their IPL 2026 squad following instructions from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), amid reports of atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh.
