Pic/Atul Kamble Ancel, who spends nearly two hours travelling to and fro between Goregoan to Byculla daily, scored from a free kick in the 39th minute. Ancel, a student at a Goregoan school till class IV, switched schools when he found his talent getting wasted there. &ldquo;I am very passionate about sports but my earlier school in Goregoan was not so active in sports. The school had never even participated in MSSA tournaments. So, my mother decided that I join Christ Church where she is a teacher. That helped me as from the very first year as I got to be a part of the school football team,&rdquo; the class X student said. Besides football, Ancel also enjoys playing basketball and cricket. &ldquo;I have been representing my school in the Harris Shield inter-school cricket tournament for the last two years and participated in an inter-school basketball tournament last year. But football has always been my first love.&rdquo; Christ Church coach Nilesh Rao revealed that the 15-year-old was suffering from an ankle injury and was not willing to play the match yesterday. &ldquo;Ancel called me on Monday night and said that he had twisted his ankle while travelling in the train and wouldn&rsquo;t be able to play. But I asked him to just come and be present for the game. &ldquo;When he came today he promised that he would not only play but also score a goal. I feel proud that he kept his word.&rdquo; The Byculla school have so far won three of their four matches. &ldquo;I decided to play once I came to the ground. I am happy to score for my team against a tough opponent,&rdquo; said Ancel, who scored his first goal of this season yesterday.
