But Ravi Rampaul spoilt the party as the Mumbai maestro was dismissed on 94 — six runs short of what would have been his 100th international century. The West Indies team in a huddle at the Wankhede yesterday In the last Test, West Indies were again successful in disappointing the Kolkata crowd by dismissing Tendulkar on 10 at Eden Gardens. The crowd that had come to watch the batting legend play in his 199th match could not witness Tendulkar bat again in the second innings as the match ended in three days. Party poopers And today at the Wankhede, Darren Sammy’s men are all set to counter Tendulkar once again as he plays his 200th and final Test. “From the moment we heard that this is going to be his last Test, all the bowlers have been quite motivated. They have a chance to go down in history. The last stroke he will play in any cricket match could see your name go down there. Knowing Tino Best, he could be in his 14th over when Sachin comes in and he would still want to bowl. We will see how it goes tomorrow and bring down the curtains on a great career of a man who has been a great ambassador not only for India but also for world cricket,” said Sammy on the eve of the second Test yesterday. “The last time we played a Test match here, it was a very exciting one. So hopefully, we could have another good one this time and cricket will be a winner, just like it was in 2012,” added the WI skipper. Like Tendulkar, the Windies are looking forward to giving a memorable 150th outing to their star batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul. “When it comes to batting, the way Shiv prepares has been the same ever since I’ve known him. He practices exactly the same way he wants to go out and play. I hope he goes on to score 150 in his 150th match,” said Sammy.u00a0

The last time India and West Indies faced each other at the Wankhede Stadium, Sachin Tendulkar was on the threshold of scaling another milestone.
