It was the first anniversary of the spot-fixing gate on Sunday. Exactly a year ago, the controversy involving three Pakistani players rocked the game.

Last year on this day, the Lord's Test between England and Pakistan was at the centre of a police investigation into spot-fixing, following the arrest of Mazhar Majeed, who was allegedly caught claiming to have bribed Pakistan's bowlers into bowling no-balls.

Two Pakistani bowlers, Mohammad Aamir and Mohammad Asif, in consultation with their skipper, Salman Butt were alleged to have deliberately no-balled.

Earlier this year, Butt was banned for 10 years. "It is not an anniversary to be celebrated", Butt said from Lahore. "The case is pending in court.

I miss playing the game as I'm not allowed to play at any level.
However, I'm waiting for the court proceedings to commence on October 4 and God-willing I will be able to play again," he said.
