Virender Sehwag is confident India will continue their dominance over Pakistan in today’s T20 World Cup game at Dubai.

Another win and the T20 World Cup head-to-head record will read 6-0.

“India are a far better side; it’s a complete team. I can’t see India losing on Sunday. This Indian team have excellent batting depth and a fine attack—both pace and spin,” Sehwag told Sunday mid-day on Saturday.

Sehwag, who had missed the epic 2007 T20 World Cup final at Johannesburg due to an injury, suggested captain Virat Kohli should go in with three pacers and two spinners for Sunday’s clash. “My three pacers would be Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami. Ravindra Jadeja and Varun Chakravarthy will be the two spinners. I feel Pakistan will struggle to face him [Chakravarthy] since they have never played against him,” said the Nawab of Najafgarh.

Sehwag singled out Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman as the batsman to watch out in the big clash. “Fakhar will be the most dangerous batter since he can score at a faster rate. He alone took the match away from India in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final,” he said.

India are clashing against Pakistan for the first time since their battle at Manchester during the 2019 50-over World Cup. The hype and hoopla surrounding this clash is similar to that. “India-Pakistan match means isspaar ya usspaar [either here or there]. There will be some tension. It’s a battle of nerves and it starts from the gallery. Pagalpan hai [madness]. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul should score at least 60 runs in the first six overs without giving away their wicket,” said Sehwag.
