Whether the players have breached the bio-secure bubble will only be ascertained once the internal team meeting with the medical experts, which is currently underway, is completed.
The fan Navaldeep Singh, who footed the player's bill of AUD 118, has claimed in his social media post that the players interacted with him, obliged for selfies and Pant also hugged him. Singh also said that Pant thanked his wife for the lunch while leaving.
Sources in the team and BCCI told mid-day that a lot of it claimed by the fan is "fake". "Neither has Pant hugged nor have they taken any selfies. The BCCI medical team is following up with the players and an internal meeting is going on to discover proper facts. It does not look like a major issue," a source said.
If the players had taken selfies, then what stopped the fan from posting them on social media is a question that comes to one's mind.
Recently, Steven Smith was not allowed to celebrate Christmas with his wife Dani Willis by Cricket Australia.
