Swami Vivekanand International School (SVIS), Gorai took full advantage of winning the toss and made good use of the batting conditions at the Wankhede Stadium, to post 293-8 in 80 overs in the three-day U-14 Giles Shield MSSA-organised final against IES New English School, Bandra.

The Gorai outfit were aided by centuries from Devansh Trivedi (139) and Yug Asopa (107). It was Devansh’s second ton in the tournament. They added 247 runs for the third wicket. Off-spinner Devang Tandel claimed four wickets for IES before they ended Day One with eight for one wicket in 11 overs.
