India pacer Dhawal Kulkarni, 35, revealed on Saturday that he will retire after Mumbai’s last match of the ongoing Ranji Trophy season. However, he may consider playing for another team to play 100th first-class game next season. His 281 wickets have come across 95 first-class games.

“It’s one of the biggest decisions of my life and there was a little bit of confusion in my mind about whether to retire. But then I thought I shouldn’t leave my team in the middle of the season. Also, the MCA selectors, coach [Omkar Salvi] requested me to stay back with the team and I accepted. I will retire after the last match of the season,” said Kulkarni, who has claimed seven wickets in three matches this season.
