2007 World Cup captain Rahul Dravid feels India's ideal bowling attack for Sunday's game should be 3 seamers & a specialist spinner

India's 2007 World Cup captain, Rahul Dravid feels India should go in with three seamers and just one spinner for Sunday's game against Ireland at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

"Three seamers and one specialist spinner should be the bowling formula. If Ashish Nehra is fit, he should play. He will be most effective in this tournament. I don't have any worries about our bowling because I believe we will play to potential. They (bowlers) can come back quickly," Dravid told MiD DAY.

Busy man
Dravid has a very busy schedule even though he is not in India's one-day team. In the morning, he trains at the National Cricket Academy. After that, he is involved with Karnataka State Cricket Association work. He is part of the new ruling group of the association that has Anil Kumble as president and Javagal Srinath as secretary.

Dravid didn't watch the splendid batting of Ireland's Kevin O'Brien, who shocked England at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday. "I left the ground when Ireland were 100-odd. I thought that was the best time to leave for home, but later they played superbly. Kevin O'Brien played one of the best innings in the history of one-day cricket," he said.

Dravid stressed that the emergence of minnows is great news for cricket. "It is really good for global cricket. Look at Ireland ufffd they are the talk of the World Cup. If small nations come up, the interest in the game will increase. Having said that, the minnows have to perform consistently; must keep the momentum going like the bigger teams."
