The manager of Indian owned English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers, Steve Kean has received the backing of his fellow Scottish managers Sir Alex Ferguson, Kenny Dalglish and David Moyes Kean has been under tremendous pressure to resign after Blackburn''s disastrous first half of the season, with them being at the bottom of the league table at Christmas.

After receiving backing from top managers of the league, Kean is keen to carry forward his struggle to stick to Rovers job as a manager. Rovers' fans, local newspapers and even Blackburn MP Jack Straw had called for his dismissal, reports the Telegraph.

The League Manager's Association released a statement in which they criticized the treatment handed over to Kean by Rovers fans as well as the shortage of support by owners Venky's.

"I've had a lot of support from very experienced managers. No disrespect to MPs, journalists or former players but I've had vastly experienced managers calling me up and complimenting me for doing a magnificent job, said Kean. Fellow Scot David Moyes was so aghast by the abuse handed over to Kean by Rovers fans that he left his side Everton''s match against Rovers during half time only.

Though Kean has gained support from Ferguson and Dalglish, but he wouldn't be expecting any favors from both of them when his team plays their next two matches against Liverpool and Manchester United away.
