Fine half-centuries by Vedang Mishra (62 runs off 138 balls, 9x4) and Sparsh Gholap (54 off 125 balls, 10x4) helped Navi Mumbai SA Centre take a crucial two-run first innings lead against Goregaon Prabodhan Centre on Day 2 of their fourth-round match of the Worli Sports Club-organised 27th Ajit Naik Memorial U-14 selection trials cricket tournament at the Karnatak SA ground, Cross Maidan, on Friday.

Navi Mumbai Centre did well to dismiss Goregaon Prabodhan Centre for 182 in 66. 3 overs in their first innings. Off-spinner Ganesh Dhanawade (3-32) and left-arm spinner Vedant Kadu (3-60) combined effectively to fox the Prabodhan batters. Ramprasad Vishwakarma, 40 not out, was the top scorer for Prabodhan.

In reply, Navi Mumbai Centre, resuming on an overnight score of 29-1, went on to reach 184 for 9 declared in 71.4 overs.
