World champion Lewis Hamilton was summoned by FIA stewards today to explain what happened at the Australian Grand Prix that led to Jarno Trulli losing his third place.
 Although Toyota yesterday abandoned its appeal over Trulli's 25 second penalty, which saw him relegated to 12th and Hamilton promoted onto the podium, the case rumbles on.
 Hamilton gained a place after Trulli was penalised for passing him under safety car conditions on lap 57.
 The FIA said stewards have reconvened to examine new evidence, reportedly radio conversations between Hamilton and his McLaren team, to decide whether the Briton deliberately slowed to let the Italian pass.
 Trulli has maintained his innocence, claiming Hamilton slowed down on purpose.
 "The FIA really got it wrong in that decision. We have all the evidence, including Hamilton's admission, that I did not overtake him. He let me pass," Trulli told Malaysia's New Straits Times.
 "Under those circumstances, Hamilton had a problem and he slowed down, almost stopping. And he allowed me to pass. There was nothing else I could do but keep going, and in order to do that I had to pass him."
 Hamilton said after the race that he slowed down to let Trulli pass him following instructions from his team.
