The norm at the ICC World Cup merchandise stores across all tournament venues has been that they only stock merchandise belonging to the two teams contesting in that particular match. For example, during the India vs Australia semi-final, the merchandise shop at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, only had team jerseys and other clothing associated with the Indian and Australian teams. However, such is the popularity of Indian cricket that the merchandise outlet at the MCG yesterday was busy selling Indian World Cup stuff alongside products associated with Australia and New Zealand, the two teams set to compete in the final today.
