Sourav Ganguly backs BCCI's decision to appoint Shubman Gill as new captain

Ahead of the series, Rohit Sharma has been snubbed from the captaincy role in the 50-over format. In his place, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named Shubman Gill as the new skipper for the series

Team India will lock horns against Australia in the white-ball series from October 19. The first ODI match will be at the Optus Stadium in Perth. 

Before T20Is, the `Men in Blue` will play the three-match ODI series against the Aussies. Ahead of the bilateral tournament, Rohit Sharma has been snubbed from the captaincy role.
