India`s opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal carried the load of Indian batting on his shoulders and smashed a double-hundred before the hosts ended their first inning of the IND vs ENG 2nd Test with 396 runs

Rohit Sharma-led India resumed the second day of the IND vs ENG 2nd Test with 336 for six wickets. They added 60 more runs and were bowled out by England in 112 overs with 30 minutes left before lunch. As was the case on day one, India had to rely on Jaiswal (209 off 290) to get the majority of the runs.
