Anil Kumble (West Indies vs India, Antigua 2002)
Despite fracturing his jaw, Anil Kumble came back to bowl with his face bandaged after being struck by a bouncer off pacer Mervyn Dillon while batting. He bowled 14 consecutive overs and claimed the prized wicket of Brian Lara in the first innings before the game ended in a draw.

Graeme Smith (australia vs SA, Sydney 2009)
The South African skipper walked out  to bat at No. 11 with a fractured hand and a sore right elbow. He batted for 29 minutes, scoring three off 17 balls to nearly save the Test before being cleaned bowled by pacer Mitchell Johnson.

Colin Cowdrey (England vs WI, Lord’s 1963)
Cowdrey, who had retired hurt on 19, returned to bat with his left arm in plaster after the fall of the ninth wicket. He stood at the non-striker’s end as Derek Shackleton was run-out with England needing six off two balls. Cowdrey’s presence helped seal a draw after David Allen blocked the last two balls.
