Jagadeesan, so far, has no exposure to English conditions, but has been a stalwart in the domestic circuit. On the other hand, Jurel can`t be termed as a well-experienced option for the role, as he has played just four Test matches for the side

Amid the BCCI`s decision to name N Jagadeesan as Rishab Pant`s replacement in the side, the Tamil Nadu cricketer will face tough competition from Dhruv Jurel.
However, as the way things go, it seems difficult to fit the batsmen in the playing XI, as Jurel would be the likely choice for the role, especially because of the nature of the match.
Team India has reached this position after securing a dominating draw in the fourth of the five-match Test series against England. Both sides will now clash against each other for the series decider in the fifth Test match.
In the fifth Test match, Team India will miss the services of its swashbuckling batsman, Rishabh Pant. The left-hander sustained an injury on his foot while facing Chris Woakes in the fourth Test.
