Dew will be a huge factor for India and West Indies in the Twenty20 leg of the tour which kicks off at Eden Gardens on Wednesday. Curator Sujan Mukherjee, at pains to explain that the dew aspect was beyond his control, remarked: “How can one control nature?”

To work around the problem, ground authorities will use the ASFA spray on the turf. Ropes will be put into use in order to rid the dew. All this will require the services of 14 men, it is learnt. With the ball expected to get soggy, no team would like to bowl under lights.
