Debutant opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (67 batting) displayed perfect composure and admirable temperament with a well-compiled half-century as Indian openers were in control, taking the score to 151 for no loss in the post-lunch session on the second day of the opening Test against the West Indies here on Thursday.

Skipper Rohit Sharma (68 batting, 170 balls) also curbed his natural stroke-making instinct for the better part to reach his 15th half-century in Test cricket as India are one run ahead of West Indies’s first innings score of 150.
