Glenn Maxwell has taken no time in adjusting to Royal Challengers Bangalore, said captain Virat Kohli. Maxwell scored his second consecutive half century of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) on Sunday and, alongwith AB de Villiers, helped RCB beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 38 runs.
Maxwell scored 78 off 49 balls while de Villiers smashed 76 off 34 to help RCB, who were 9/2 at the start of the third over, to 204/4. "Well, I said at the halfway mark we have 200 because of two genius innings back-to-back. Maxwell was outstanding and AB to follow," said Kohli in the post-match presentation ceremony.
