Chandigarh: South African batsman David Miller was today named as the captain of Kings XI Punjab team for the upcoming Indian Premier League season 9.

Speaking about his new role Miller, who has been associated with Kings XI since IPL season 4, said: "I am honoured to lead the Kings XI Punjab squad this year. I would like to thank the franchise, promoters, management and all the team members for the confidence they have in me.
