In the aftermath of Indian pacer Mohammed Shami facing online abuse from fans on social media, former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan shared a video on Twitter. In the video, Pathan's father, Mehmood Khan Pathan, can be seen talking about how the entire Vadodara (Irfan's hometown) celebrated outside his home when Pathan returned from the victorious tour of Pakistan in 2004. 

While sharing the clip, Pathan wrote, "Here is a little story from my father, when we came back victorious from the Pakistan tour in 2004. We use to live in jamma masjid, My father went to the terrace of masjid with proudly holding indian flag ?? to greet all the fans who came to celebrate our victory on d field (sic)."
