India lost the opportunity to end their FIVB Men's U-21 Volleyball World Championship dream run on a high when they lost to Argentina in straight sets and failed to secure the Bronze medal. Argentina's aggression and sheer determination to win saw them through a three set win over India. With the win, second seeded Argentina won the Bronze medal while India wrapped up their campaign with a respectful fourth place. However, this has been India's best ever performance at the World Volleyball Championship. Brazil successfully defended their title by beating Cuba in a thrilling encounter that went down to the tie-breaker. Brazil used their experience and held their nerves to win 3-2.
