Ever since the third Test against England ended in two days at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Motera, memes have surfaced on social media, mocking India head coach Ravi Shastri.

However, the former India captain responded to a meme posted by socialite Shobhaa De in his own style. The meme read: "You thought I would stay in a dry state for five days?"
Shastri retweeted with his comment: "Love the banter! Feels good to bring some smiles in these tough times."

Shastri's former Mumbai teammate Shishir Hattangadi responded to his tweet: "Ahmedabad ma dry day? Limbu pani mast che Gujarat ma."
Another meme doing the rounds on the social media when the caravan moved to Ahmedabad after the second Test at Chennai. With a picture of Shastri's hand on his forehead, it read: "When you realise India will play their next seven matches in a dry state."
Team India will play two Tests and five T20Is here before moving to Pune for the three ODIs.
