PIC/Getty Images United lost to the Toffees at the Old Trafford for the first time since August 1992 due to a late goal from Bryan Oviedo.u00a0The result, United&rsquo;s fourth defeat of the season, condemned David Moyes&rsquo; men to the ninth spot on the English Premier League table. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s a quick turnaround, but we&rsquo;ve got to pick ourselves up,&rdquo; Giggs told MUTV. &ldquo;We cannot feel sorry for ourselves for too long. It&rsquo;s a home game (against Newcastle) and hopefully it will be a different result. We need to get on a run, before this we were on a 12-game unbeaten run. We have to get over this disappointment now.&rdquo; The 40-year-old added that despite the disappointment of trailing league leaders Arsenal by 12 points after the loss, they could take advantage of a hectic December. &ldquo;We&rsquo;ll get a better idea in the New Year, and hopefully we can start picking up points again,&rdquo; he added. &ldquo;We&rsquo;ve had a few disappointing results, but the performances have not been that bad. We&rsquo;re just not getting the rub of the green, or taking our chances when we should. If you don&rsquo;t do that, you are going to get punished like we did against Everton.&rdquo; Wednesday night was particularly traumatic for United&rsquo;s manager Moyes as he endured taunts from supporters of his former club. However, he chose to brush off the abuse. &ldquo;It is not important. Everton supporters supported their team well,&rdquo; he said.u00a0&ldquo;It (defeat) doesn&rsquo;t hurt more being Everton. I know they are a very good team with very good players. You would imagine it is a sore one when it is your old team, so that is the way it is. We have got a long way to go. We will need to play some great football and win an awful lot of games in the run-in if we are going to be in there and around it at the end of the season,&rdquo; he added. Asked if he believed United were capable of that, he replied: &ldquo;Yes. I&rsquo;ve got nothing to suggest anything else.&rdquo;
