Former Mumbai and Rajasthan Royals left-arm spinner Ankeet Chavan will have to fight his own battle where resuming his cricket career is concerned after Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) decided not to interfere in his issue on Friday.

Chavan, who was banned by the BCCI for life after the 2013 IPL spot fixing episode along with S Sreesanth and Ajit Chandila, was last month granted relief by BCCI ombudsman Justice DK Jain, who reduced his punishment to seven years.
