<p align="center"><span style="font-size: 8pt">Mitchell Johnson</span></p></td></tr></tbody></table>Mitchell Johnson helped Australia take control of the third Test against South Africa at the SCG early today morning.<br /><br />The visitors are in a spot of trouble at 4-176 at lunch in reply to Australia's first innings of 445.<br /><br />Jean-Paul Duminy is 10 not out and wicketkeeper Mark Boucher is on four with only the tail to come.<br /><br />Captain and opening batsman Graeme Smith retired hurt for 30 yesterday after a rising delivery from Johnson fractured his left hand. <br /><br />Left-armer Johnson struck in the second over of Day 3 as an attempted off-drive from Jacques Kallis (37) finished in the safe hands of Matthew Hayden at first slip to leave the Proteas at 2-131. <br /><br />Thirty runs later AB De Villiers, who scored a match-winning century in the first Test in Perth, was run out by a brilliant throw by Johnson from mid-on for 11. <br /><br />Hashim Amla had anchored the innings with his 203-minute 51 but he was lbw to Victoria's debutant medium-pacer Andrew McDonald at 4-166.
