Former chairman of selectors Kiran More yesterday emphasised that it was not right for Mohinder Amarnath to disclose matters that are discussed behind closed doors of the selection room. More and Amarnath first toured together on India&rsquo;s tour of the West Indies in 1982-83. There are a number of things said inside the room, but nothing should come out. You can write out a report to the board, but it is not right to come out and reveal things to the media. It&rsquo;s sad and not good for Indian cricket,&rdquo; More said during the launch of Lakshya &mdash; a Pune-based NGO that identifies and nurtures sporting talent &mdash; in the city yesterday. Five Lakshya-supported players had qualified for the 2012 London Olympics. The organisation has now set au00a0target of helping more than a dozen sportspersons to qualify for the 2016 Rio Games. More felt the current Indian Test team needs the backing of former cricketers. &ldquo;I am ready to provide full support from my side. There are always good days and bad days in sport. Someone has to win and lose. That doesn&rsquo;t mean you have to criticise the team.&rdquo; More added: &ldquo;The process of building a good Test team should have been started after the World Cup last year. The then selection committee should have done a much better job to improve the standard of the Test team. &ldquo;The new selection committee is just a couple of months old. We need to give them some time. Domestic cricket was at the heart of More&rsquo;s solution. &ldquo;The selectors need to focus more on domestic talent. They should have a pool of at least 25 players with back-up in every department. After the 2011 World Cup, we kept on playing with the same team in Tests as well in ODIs. &ldquo;Subramaniam Badrinath and Ajinkya Rahane, who are doing well in domestic cricket should be given a chance. We do not have any back-up for Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav. We need to learn these lessons. &ldquo;The new selection committee will have to work hard and build a good Test team for the future. I think the Test team will struggle for a year and a half,&rdquo; he said.u00a0
