Sanjay Patil has been appointed the new Mumbai senior and U-23 team’s chief selector, taking over from Raju Kulkarni, who has been appointed the head of the Cricket Improvement Committee (CIC).

“I will try my best to keep Mumbai on top and unbeatable. I will miss Kulkarni as a chairman, but he will always be there to guide us. I will ensure not a single cricketer will be ignored at any stage and everyone will get a chance to prove their calibre.,” Patil told mid-day on Friday. Ravi Thakkar, Jeetendra Thackeray, Kiran Powar and Vikrant Yeligati are the other members of ex-left arm spinner Patil’s committee.
